Charger and batteriesBatteries will probably be ordinary led due to price. Perhaps two sets of smaller instead of one set of big batteries to be able to drag myself home in case of a faulty cell? The bad side of choosing led is that is that I will have to insulate the battery compartment and add some kind of heater or the car won't be possible to drive more than roughly 8 months a year since we can have really cold winters. -25°C isn't unheard of and by those temperatures led batteries will be practically dead in an EV. Haven't decided on a charger, only that I'll bite the bullet and get a good one to be able to fully charge the battery on just a few hours. Preferably one where the charging current can be easily controlled externally to not blow a fuse if all the heating is running at the same time. | |
